The five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings will begin their 2026 campaign against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Monday, March 30. Ruturaj Gaikwad will return to lead CSK after being ruled out midway through last year’s tournament.
Following their disappointing 10th-place finish last year, the franchise made key changes during the off-season. After acquiring Sanju Samson via trade, the Chennai Super Kings management spent heavily on uncapped domestic players Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma, signing them for ₹14.20 crore each.
