Delhi Capitals eliminated after a crushing defeat against KKR

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals’ IPL 2026 playoff hopes ended after another painful defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. They once looked like a strong playoff contender, but continuous poor performances and wrong decisions have pushed them down in the table.

KKR completely dominated the match from the beginning. KKR spinners Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Anukul Roy trapped the Delhi batters and never allowed them to settle. DC managed only 142/8 in 20 overs after struggling throughout the innings.

The chase became one-sided as Finn Allen played a sensational knock and smashed his maiden IPL century while Cameron Green added 33 not out as KKR chased the target comfortably with eight wickets in hand and 34 balls remaining to register their fourth straight victory.
