DMK president and outgoing Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday (May 5, 2026) said the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) had secured only 17.43 lakh more votes than his party, a margin of just 3.52 percentage points over the DMK’s vote share. “As far as I am concerned, the faith reposed by the people of Tamil Nadu in our party is very strong,” he said in a message.
He said the DMK alliance had secured 1,54,82,782 votes and expressed gratitude to the people who voted for the alliance.
