After Sherfane Rutherford’s brief cameo, MI utilized the Impact Player rule to bring in Ashwani, a move that proved to be a tactical masterstroke. The GT chase never found its rhythm, losing Sai Sudharsan to Jasprit Bumrah on the very first ball of the innings. When Jos Buttler fell for 5 to Pandya, the pressure became insurmountable.
