As many as 4.44 lakh students have applied for Plus One single-window admission to higher secondary courses in Kerala.
Of them, the maximum number of applicants are from Malappuram – 82,678. The least were from Idukki – 11,420. Wayanad had 11,790 applicants.
In Malabar, Kozhikode and Palakkad districts had 46,979 and 44,117 applicants.
Of the total 4,44,124 applications received, the majority are from the SSLC board – 4,14,470. Only 19,890 were from CBSE students and 2,083 from ICSE board students, while 7,681 were from other boards.
As many as 43,675 students have applied to more than one district.
As many as 1,996 applications have been received for admission to 15 model residential higher secondary schools (MRS) under the Scheduled Tribes Development department and six schools under the Scheduled Castes Development department too.
Since the main phase application submission has closed, students who were unable to submit applications can do so in the supplementary phase.
Trial allotment will be held on June 8. Students will get opportunity to make corrections and revise their options after this.
The first allotment will be published on June 15.
After the completion of three allotments in the main phase, Plus One classes will begin on July 2.
After the main phase of allotments, applications will be invited afresh for supplementary allotment to fill the remaining seats.
