Amidst the ongoing IPL 2026, Kohli has allegedly liked a photo of a German model and influencer named LizLaz, and it has created massive buzz online. Within minutes, screenshots of Kohli liking LizLaz’s photo went viral, and it became a hot topic for discussion across social media platforms.
The situation became even more interesting because Kohli does not even follow Liz Laz. However, the influencer was seen supporting RCB on social media. She was seen making a blog wearing the RCB jersey and even posted a video singing in the same jersey.

LizLaz feels for Virat Kohli after viral ‘Like’ drama
The German model revealed she woke up to see herself trending everywhere. Her social media was flooded with messages, and people kept sending her posts and news links about the incident. It turned into a shocking but exciting moment for her as she found herself trending overnight.
LizLaz was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times: “It was crazy because I woke up and then I was all over the news. I don’t even know when he liked the picture; I learned through the news. So many people found the articles done on me on many different platforms and sent them to me in my DMs. I got so many messages today; people were super excited about it.”
She also felt bad for the Indian cricket superstar as he like reportedly disappeared. The singer and rapper further shared, “I was so happy that he liked it, but then him unliking it, I felt a bit bad for him because I don’t even know how it became such a big story.” How did people notice? How did they make it news… That was probably not his intention behind it, but still I am grateful for it and I appreciate the support from him.”
LizLaz shares how she became an RCB fan
Interestingly, LizLaz also revealed that she is a fan of Kohli and the RCB.it, She got interested in the sport while traveling in India and watching IPL matches with friends. The influencer shared that she traveled all over South India, Goa, Mysore, Coorg, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, and also North India, and during this trip, she got introduced to the game of cricket.
Before her India tour, the South African-born LizLaz didn’t watch cricket games, as he grew up in Germany, where the national sport is only football. But now she is watching the IPL and has become a fan of Kohli and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

‘Virat Kohli is the most exciting player to watch’
LizLaz added, “It was obviously the IPL last year, so I started watching with my Bangalore friends. It was contagious. I was also becoming a Royal Challengers Bangalore fan. And obviously, if you support RCB, Virat Kohli is the most exciting player to watch. He’s just so good. So I was happy about him liking the picture.”
Well, this is not the first time Kohli has grabbed headlines for such a social media activity. Last year, Kohli created headlines for allegedly liking the actress Avneet Kaur’s photo and later blamed the Instagram algorithm for the same.
This time, he has not yet commented on liking LizLaz’s photo.
