A 22-year-old man was burnt to death when his bike rammed a NWKRTC bus near Mugalkhod in Belagavi district on Monday.
Naveen Hanumanth Gorkha of Mudhol in Bagalkot district died on the spot. His bike hit the bus going from Badami to Ichalkaranji.
Due to the impact, the bike’s petrol tank began leaking and it caught fire. The front part of the bus also caught fire.
The rider was stuck under the vehicle and could not be saved. All passengers of the bus got off the vehicle to escape unhurt.
A case has been registered.
