जेब से 10 रुपए निकालकर दुकानदार को दिये
प्रधानमंत्री ने उससे 10 रुपए की झालमुड़ी बनाने के लिए कहा. जेब से 10 रुपए निकालकर भी दिये. दुकानदार पैसे लेने को तैयार नहीं था. उसने कहा कि आप हमारी दुकान पर आये, यही बड़ी बात है. लेकिन, पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि ऐसे नहीं चलेगा और पैसे दे दिये.

दुकान पर ही खड़े-खड़े झालमुड़ी खाने लगे मोदी
दुकानदार विक्रम साव ने ठोंगे में पीएम मोदी को झालमुड़ी दी. इससे पहले दुकानदार ने पूछा कि प्याज खाते हैं? प्रधानमंत्री ने जवाब दिया- हां, प्याज-मिर्च खाता हूं. किसी का सिर नहीं. इसके बाद वहां मौजूद सभी लोग खिलखिलाकर हंसने लगे. पीएम मोदी ने दुकान पर ही खड़े होकर झालमुड़ी खाना शुरू कर दिया.

इससे पहले वहां महिलाओं और बच्चों की भीड़ जुट चुकी थी. पीएम ने किसी बच्चे के हाथ में झालमुड़ी दी, तो कई और बच्चों ने हाथ आगे बढ़ा दिया. उन्होंने सभी बच्चों के हाथ में झालमुड़ी दी. ऐसा लग रहा था, मानो प्रधानमंत्री अपने हाथों से प्रसाद बांट रहे रहों. कई महिलाओं ने अपने बच्चे को हाथ आगे बढ़ाने के लिए कहा.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s India career
Bhuvneshwar Kumar began his India career in 2012 and made a name for himself with his swing bowling and control. He was India’s trusted bowler across formats. His last appearance for India came in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. India had lost the semifinal by 10 wickets against England and so had the seamer as well.
Overall, Bhuvneshwar has had a solid career. He has played 229 matches for India and taken 294 wickets, with his best performance being 6 wickets for 82 runs. To continue his attack on the Opposition over the defeat of the Constitutional 131st Amendment Bill that sought to advance reservation of 33 per cent seats for women in an expanded Lok Sabha and state Assemblies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a women’s convention in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi on April 28.
The Prime Minister will be on a two-day tour of Varanasi from April 28.
At a meeting of the Kashi regional unit of the BJP on Sunday for the preparations for the Mahila Sammelan, it was decided to ensure the presence of over 50,000 women at the convention.
BJP sources said that in order to send a message of women empowerment, the party has decided to give key responsibilities related to the event preparations to women leaders of the party.
Taking note that the event will be held on the eve of the first phase of polling for the West Bengal Assembly elections, a senior BJP leader told The Indian Express, “Certainly, the West Bengal elections will be at the core of the PM’s address on April 28. The subject of the Mahila Sammelan is likely to be women reservation Bill. Women from Varanasi city, zila unit and adjoining districts will be present in the audience.”
On Sunday, in his first public appearance in West Bengal after the Bill could not muster enough numbers in Parliament last Friday, the PM attacked the Trinamool Congress, claiming that it ‘betrayed’ women.
The Opposition, on the other hand, has been accusing the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre of introducing the Bill to get political mileage in poll-bound states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.

Another BJP leader said that the PM will stay overnight in Varanasi and address another event in the city on April 29.
To invite women to the Mahila Sammelan, the BJP will hold a drive in the region and tell them what the Modi-led government has done for the empowerment of women since 2014.
In the first major legislative loss for the Modi government since it came to power in 2014, the Constitutional (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026, seeking to advance reservation of 33 per cent seats for women in an expanded Lok Sabha and state Assemblies and facilitate delimitation of constituencies, was defeated in Lok Sabha Friday evening.

In reply, the new opening pair of Mitchell Marsh and Ayush Badoni added 61 runs in the power play. However, the required run rate kept going out of reach. Marsh and Badoni couldn’t capitalise on their starts. Pant and Aiden Markram looked good during their quickfire cameos. However, they had to climb a mountain which was too steep for them.
In the end, Lucknow were restricted to 200/5 in their 20 overs. Marco Jansen was the pick of the bowlers for Punjab, finishing with figures of 2/37. Vijaykumar Vyshak was also economical in his spell.

Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly were given lifelines by the Lucknow Super Giants on the field, and they made good use of them. Rishabh Pant didn’t take a DRS in the second over after Mohsin Khan wrapped Connolly on the pads. The on-field call was not out, but the decision would have been overturned had Pant taken the DRS. Two balls later, the Australian batter was dropped by the bowler. Arya, on the other hand, was dropped when he was on 63. He went on to score 30 more runs after that reprieve, and that too in quick time.
Aiden Markram concedes 32 runs, most expensive over by an LSG bowler
Aiden Markram was brought on to bowl the 13th over. Pant wanted to use an off-spinner against the two left-handers, Arya and Connolly. However, the plan backfired as both the set batters went berserk. Connolly hit three sixes while Arya slammed two in the action-packed over. Markram conceded 32 runs in the over, most by an LSG bowler in the IPL.

Rishabh Pant shows signs of returning to form
Rishabh Pant batted at No. 3 once again. However, the wicketkeeper-batter looked in good rhythm during his knock, probably for the first time in IPL 2026. The LSG skipper slammed 43 runs off 23 balls, hitting one four and four sixes. While the defeat would hurt, Pant’s knock would be one of the rare silver linings from this game for LSG.
