As indianexpress.com analysed the posts shared on the microblogging site, X, it seems that the issue arose in the shift two exam that was held on April 5.(Image: AI generated)

JEE Main is the exam for engineering aspirants. It is divided into two papers – with paper one testing candidate’s knowledge for BE and BTech. programmes and paper two on B.Arch. and B.Planning. Paper one is split into two sections – section A containing 20 questions and section B containing 5 questions across all the three subjects – physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Similarly, B.Arch. will test the candidates on their mathematics prowess, aptitude and drawing skills. B.Planning is similar except it tests the candidate’s knowledge on planning skills instead of their drawing ability. It should be noted that there is negative marking of one mark for every question that is wrong, zero mark for every unattempted question and four marks for every correct response.

India's 150kmph bowling hope still lives in village without roads - Inside Ashok Sharma's dream

Rampura (Jaipur): “Unki Thar nikal jaati hai, aapki bhi nikal jayegi (His car gets through, yours will too),” a young boy quips when asked about the location of India’s new pace sensation Ashok Sharma’s house.Ashok Sharma may be making a lot of noise with his pace in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), but reaching his village, around 35 km from Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, is an uphill task. There is a sudden exit on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and a few kilometres down that dusty lane, after carefully navigating the hastily operated railway crossings, the road disappears. That is when you understand the true meaning of “tighten your seatbelts” and the divide between the two Indias.

Sharam aati hai logon ko bulaane mein. Raasta hi nahi hai (I feel embarrassed to invite people over. “There isn’t even a proper road,” says Akshay Sharma, Ashok’s elder brother, while welcoming us to his home. The location pin ends a few hundred metres before the residence, requiring crafty maneuvering on the narrow lanes with several hairpin turns.Ashok’s village reflects a true sense of rural India. There are double-storey houses, coolers remain a prized asset, and proper roads have not yet reached the village. Yet, there is a sense of peace, which Akshay says is the reason the family has chosen not to leave their roots.

Sukoon hai idhar (It is peaceful here). Ashok also loves it. Everything started from here, whether it was me playing cricket or him taking big strides. Ashok always says, ‘Kuch bhi ho jaaye, apna gaon nahi chhodenge‘ (Whatever happens, we will never leave our ancestral village),” says Akshay, while dusting off the charpai under one of the two neem trees in front of their house. The front yard still remains a comfortable space in the Sharma household, offering ample space to house two ‘charpaais’ and host guests in shade, with the birds offering a soothing background score. It is rare to see a present-day Indian cricketer, who has already played Ranji Trophy and the IPL, still living in his village. The amount of money Indian cricketers earn, especially with the advent of the IPL, is massive, and a luxurious lifestyle often follows. However, Ashok Sharma believes in simplicity and focuses entirely on his performance. Akshay says his brother is not concerned about such luxuries.

Ashok loves it here. He wakes up at 5, goes to the ground for running, trains for three hours, comes back at 8 and then sleeps again. He has become very conscious of his diet, especially after the knee injury he suffered during his stint with KKR.

“He loves it here. He wakes up at 5, goes to the ground for running, trains for three hours, comes back at 8 and then sleeps again. He has become very conscious of his diet, especially after the knee injury he suffered during his stint with KKR. He always says that he would exchange the lavish five-star life for this any day. His diet is also simple. He loves homemade food. Diet, recovery, and sleep are the three most important parts of his training routine now,” he adds.Early in the chat, Ashok and Akshay’s father, Nathulal Sharma, joins the conversation from his electric scooter, a gift from his younger son. Wearing a torn shirt and mud-stained trousers, he had just returned from a shift in the fields and caught his breath before settling into the charpai. “Gehun ki katai chal rahi hai (The wheat harvest is underway),” he says with a smile.

In the meantime, Lali Devi, Ashok’s mother, brings a glass of chaanch for everyone. The traditional steel glass, the drink’s thick texture, and the right amount of home spices made it refreshing at the first sip. Lali Devi had a smile on her face when the drink was gulped within seconds and she offered a refill before adding, “ye Akshay aur Ashok ko bhi kaafi pasand hai, ghanton cricket khelne ke baad” (This is something Akshay and Ashok also really like, especially after playing cricket for hours).Ashok has always looked up to Akshay as his inspiration. Akshay sowed the seed of fast bowling in his younger brother, starting with the satisfaction they received in instilling fear in the batters heads. What started as fun in the nearby fields soon became an obsession to set the speed gun on fire.

I used to enjoy intimidating batters. It gave me a sense of satisfaction, and when they got scared, it felt like I had achieved something.

Akshay Sharma

“We both were quick. Batters ko daraane mein maza aata tha, ek tasalli milti thi, aur jab wo darte the toh lagta tha ki kuch kiya hai (I used to enjoy intimidating batters. It gave me a sense of satisfaction, and when they got scared, it felt like I had achieved something),” recalls Akshay.Fast bowling came naturally to the Sharma brothers. Growing up, they had heard stories of their uncle, Ram Dayal Sharma, a fearsome fast bowler in the village. He still lives in the opposite house and would be proud to see his nephew carry on the intimidating tradition.“I have not even seen him bowl. He quit cricket long ago, but we have heard he was very quick. He used to get special invitations to play in nearby villages. He had long hair, just like MS Dhoni,” he says.

Nathulal Sharma, sitting nearby and keeping an eye on his two-year-old granddaughter Raja, lit up at the mention. “My brother was quick. These two have followed in his footsteps,” he adds. For the Sharma family, Ashok is living the unfulfilled dreams of his uncle and brother. On March 30, the family learned that Ashok, who had previously been with Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, would make his IPL debut for Gujarat Titans.Excited, the family drove to Chandigarh, around 450 km from their village, and reached just in time to watch Ashok play live for the first time.“We have been to the stadium before as well. He had given us passes when he was with Rajasthan Royals, but this felt different,” says Akshay.

Ashok was always breaking things. He broke so many items. Because of him, Akshay used to get beaten up.

Lali Devi

A day later, Ashok invited his family to Ahmedabad for Gujarat’s second match. Instead of taking a flight, they chose to travel by train, a journey of nearly 10 hours from Jaipur. When asked if he had ever travelled by flight, Nathulal Sharma gently nods and says, “Nahi (not yet).” Akshay jokingly adds, “Dar lagta hai inko (He is scared of flying).” Lali Devi, who has been listening quietly, joins in and says, “Jaroor jayenge plane mein ek din (We will travel by flight someday).”For the village, Ashok has become a superstar. Anyone you ask proudly directs you to his house, because he is one of their own. But for Nathulal and Lali Devi, he remains the mischievous child, and everyone has a an almost similar story.

Ashok Sharma and Akshay Sharma

Nathulal Sharma says, “Agar Akshay shaant hai toh Ashok shaitaan (If Akshay is calm, then Ashok is mischievous).”Akshay quickly adds, “He used to bunk school. He always came up with some strange excuse to leave early.”Lali Devi further adds, “Tod phod poore din bas. Kitna samaan toda hai usne. Uske chakkar mein Akshay ki pitai ho jaati thi (He was always breaking things. He broke so many items. Because of him, Akshay used to get beaten up).”Akshay smiles and adds, “Ek baar toh papa ne belt se bhi peeta tha iske chakkar mein (Once, Papa even beat me with a belt because of him).”

Ashok Sharma mother

Despite all his mischief, Ashok, the youngest sibling, remains the family’s favourite child.“In 2023, when he was with KKR, towards the end of the season I asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He immediately said, ‘Thar chahiye. Nahi doge toh ghar nahi aaunga’ (I want a Thar. If you do not buy it, I will not come home),” laughs Akshay.Ashok’s dream car now stands covered outside their house and is a major attraction for the children in the village. Considering the state of the roads in the village, an off-road capable vehicle was a smart choice.

Ashok Sharma's car

The family remains grateful to Ashok’s mentor Vivek Yadav, a former Ranji Trophy cricketer, who took him under his wing and was immediately impressed by his pace.“In 2019, when he was 17, I took him to the Aravali Cricket Academy, where Vivek bhaiya was impressed by his pace. Ashok was erratic, but he directly placed him in the senior team. He asked me to let Ashok stay at the academy, and it helped him become a better cricketer,” says Akshay. However, the Covid pandemic changed everything. The lockdown forced Ashok to return home, where the road in front of his house became his training ground. The biggest blow came on May 5, 2021, when Vivek Yadav, a two-time Ranji Trophy champion with Rajasthan, passed away due to complications.

In 2023, when he was with KKR, towards the end of the season I asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He immediately said, I want a Thar. If you do not buy it, I will not come home.

Akshay Sharma

“He did not speak for weeks. We thought the dream was over. No one knew us and we were clueless. But Vikas bhaiya called and told us that he would fulfil his brother’s dream, and the academy would do everything to help him reach his potential,” recalls Akshay. After being picked by Gujarat Titans for Rs 90 lakh last year, Ashok had shared an emotional message about his mentor.

“It was the last time I cried. I thought my career was over. He wanted me to play for India. He used to say, ‘You will play for India very soon, you will play top-level cricket very soon’,” Ashok had said.It is going to be a long road for Ashok to achieve that dream. But the 23-year-old fast bowler, definitely knows the importance of patience and perseverance, and that he is just off the blocks. At the Aravali Cricket Academy, coaches Vikas Yadav, Jagminder Singh, and others remain hopeful that Ashok will fulfil Vivek Yadav’s dream. Back home, Akshay, who gave up cricket for his brother, hopes that with Ashok’s success, a proper road will finally reach Rampura, a village which might end India’s prolonged wait for an out-and-out fast bowler.

Iran War Revives Stagflation Dangers For Global Economy

Iran War Revives Stagflation Dangers For Global Economy

The cumulative global impact of seven weeks of war in the Middle East will begin to emerge in the coming week, in a second round of business surveys from multiple countries. Whether the twin blows affecting growth and inflation seen in purchasing manager indexes after the first month of the Iran conflict intensified during month two will be a key focus.

The initial take for April in economies from Australia to the US will be published on Thursday. Among those covered by Bloomberg forecasts, indexes in Germany, France, the euro zone and the UK are all anticipated to show broad deterioration, while the American indicators are seen little changed.

Latest and Breaking News on NDTV

Ultimately, the numbers may point to the degree that stagflation is lurking. That ominous term — evoking the noxious mix of surging prices and stalling growth of the 1970s — was cited by Chris Williamson, chief business economist at PMI-compiler S&P Global, when summing up risks highlighted by the overall global measure in March.

The survey numbers follow a week of bleak stock-taking in Washington, where finance chiefs were warned by the International Monetary Fund of a range of potential outcomes that included a near-recession for the world. Notwithstanding the current Middle East ceasefire, the damage to growth and inflation can’t be easily undone.

“Even if the war ends tomorrow, it would take quite some time for the recovery to kick in,” IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva told Bloomberg Television. “The impact is already baked in.”

For all the gloom, multiple policymakers remain cautious about how to respond. European Central Bank chief economist Philip Lane described how he and his colleagues may treat reports such as the PMIs when they set interest rates later this month.

“We will have a rich set of survey data,” Lane said in Washington. “Of course, the people who are answering those surveys are looking at the same world we are looking at.” And for now, not many will have a decisive idea about what’s going to happen, he added.

ECB officials will also get French business confidence on Thursday and Germany’s closely watched Ifo business climate gauge on Friday. Their Federal Reserve peers will see the University of Michigan’s sentiment index, also at the end of the week.

But as Georgieva warned, even the most holistic analysis of the global economy by policymakers has its limits for now. “We all need to learn to operate in an environment of high and permanent uncertainty,” she said.

Elsewhere, a possible war-driven pickup in inflation numbers from Canada to the UK to South Africa, plus interest-rate decisions from Turkey to Indonesia, may be among the highlights.

US and Canada

The week’s marquee US economic data release will be retail sales. Economists project a sizable jump in overall sales for March, largely due to sharply increased spending on gasoline. The figures aren’t adjusted for price changes, and drivers experienced costlier fill-ups because of the Iran war.

Excluding gasoline and autos, however, economists anticipate Tuesday’s report will signal more tepid demand as high fuel costs prompted budget-constrained consumers to squeeze spending on other things. While the average price of gas has declined since earlier this month, it remains around $4 a gallon.

S&P Global’s preliminary April PMIs come on Thursday, followed a day later by the University of Michigan’s final consumer sentiment index for April. The preliminary reading set a record low.

Meanwhile, Kevin Warsh will appear before the Senate Banking committee on Tuesday in what may be the most anticipated confirmation hearing for a Fed chair nominee in decades. Investors will listen closely for how Warsh conceives of monetary policy that hews to President Donald Trump’s demands for lower interest rates while not alarming traders still wary of inflation, especially amid a war-driven oil price shock.

Looking north, economists expect Canada’s headline inflation to have jumped to 2.6% in March from 1.8%, driven by gas prices. Still, food inflation — a persistent pressure point for Canadians — is projected to ease slightly as a base-year distortion from last year’s sales tax holiday rolls out of the data.

The Bank of Canada’s business outlook and consumer expectations surveys for the first quarter will offer important insight into how firms and households see the oil price shock shaping investment, labor markets, and inflation dynamics.

Asia

Inflation risks tied to the global energy shock will dominate Asia’s economic calendar in the coming week, with price data and business surveys set to test how quickly higher costs are feeding through.

China’s loan prime rate decision on Monday is expected to deliver no change, as policymakers balance support for growth against currency pressures.

Trade data from New Zealand, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia over the week will offer an early read on external demand. India’s infrastructure output is also due.

Focus turns Tuesday to New Zealand’s first-quarter inflation print, a key input for the central bank’s policy outlook.

Indonesia’s rate decision on Wednesday is expected to see policymakers stand pat as they weigh currency stability against rising imported inflation.

Thursday brings the week’s heaviest data flow. PMI readings from Australia, Japan and India will provide a timely read on business conditions, while inflation data from Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan will offer early evidence of the pass-through from higher energy prices.

The Philippines central bank is expected to raise its benchmark rate by 25 basis points to 4.5%, underscoring a tightening bias in parts of the region. South Korea’s consumer confidence reading will also be closely watched for signs of strain on households.

Japan’s department store sales and leading indicators round out the week, offering a gauge of the resilience of domestic demand and the near-term outlook.

Europe, Middle East, Africa

A slew of UK numbers will offer a glimpse of the health of the economy at a time when Prime Minister Keir Starmer remains mired in crisis. Data on Tuesday may reveal weakening pay pressures in the three months through February, just before the war broke out.

Inflation the following day is predicted to have jumped to 3.3% in March from 3%, as the Iran conflict drove up energy prices.

In the euro zone, ECB President Christine Lagarde is among speakers on the schedule before a pre-decision quiet period kicks in. Belgium, which was just cut by Moody’s Ratings, could face another downgrade on Friday after a review by S&P Global Ratings.

It will be a big week for the Swiss National Bank with two appearances by officials early before first-quarter results drop on Thursday. The central bank’s annual general meeting takes place the following day, led by President Martin Schlegel.

In South Africa, Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago will speak at the release of the Monetary Policy Review on Tuesday and at a roadshow on Wednesday, as policymakers assess the inflationary fallout from the Iran conflict.

Surging oil prices driven by the war are expected to add to price pressures, with the first inflation reading since the conflict, due Wednesday, seen quickening slightly to 3.1% from 3% in February.

Turning to monetary decisions, most analysts surveyed by Bloomberg forecast that Turkey’s central bank will hold its main rate at 37% for a second straight meeting on Wednesday.

That would further pause easing as higher energy prices caused by the Iran war add to inflationary pressures. Three out of 11 economists surveyed say the bank will reverse course, however, raising rates by 300 basis points.

And in Russia, central bank policymakers on Friday will weigh whether to continue easing amid heightened uncertainty over potential inflation risks.

Latin America

Two of the region’s smaller inflation-targeting central banks hold monetary policy meetings in the coming week.

Banco Central del Uruguay has lowered borrowing costs at seven straight meetings, taking its key rate down to the current 5.75%.

Inflation has come in below target for eight consecutive months, hitting a near seven-decade low of 2.94% in March.

Paraguay’s central bank kept its key rate unchanged at 5.5% in March after consecutive quarter-point cuts. Since then, the March inflation report showed that the annual print had slowed to 1.9% from 2.3% in February.

Colombian GDP-proxy data for February may show a modest rebound from January, though analysts have been marking down 2026 growth forecasts. The consensus looks for a 2.6% expansion, in line with last year.

Substantial inflationary pressures, pre-dating the outbreak of war in the Middle East, will see the central bank continue to tighten, posing additional headwinds to growth.

In Argentina, GDP-proxy data will again likely highlight uneven growth dogging South America’s No. 2 economy — the energy and mining industries thriving, while construction and manufacturing sputter — that has analysts marking down their 2026 GDP forecasts. Consumer confidence and trade figures are also on tap.

Once the dust settles at the end of the coming week, Mexico watchers will be far better positioned to evaluate the wisdom of Banxico’s quarter-point rate cut last month.

Economic activity data for February may do little to dispel revived recession concerns — headwinds include weaker US growth along with trade and tariff uncertainty — while the early April consumer price figures may test the view that elevated inflation is supply-driven and temporary.

IPL 2026 | Saw more tears today than when we won IPL: Varun Chakravarthy

KOLKATA: The pressure was building up for Kolkata Knight Riders after six winless matches and the significance of Sunday’s victory wasn’t lost on Varun Chakravarthy.“I saw more tears in the dressing room today than after we had won the tournament (in 2024),” the spinner said. “This win has a huge significance for us.”It kept them alive in the tournament, even though the road ahead is extremely difficult. It was a significant day for Varun too, as he announced his return to form with figures of three-for 14. However, he doesn’t want to make much of it. “The wicket was helping us a little and when that happens, the bowler will tend to attack,” he said.In fact, he did not find anything wrong with his bowling in the preceding two months when he was giving away far too many runs. “It is all about the kind of wickets you get,” he said.“I’m very tough on myself. If I don’t do well, I go and pinpoint what is not there. But the pitches were such that there was nothing for the spinners. If you see other spinners also, it was the same condition for everyone. So yeah, it’s nice that there’s something for the spinners now (at the Eden).”However, he did agree that despite the slowness of the Eden Gardens wicket on Sunday, 190 was par for the course. Rajasthan Royals batting coach Vikram Rathore agreed with Varun.“We were at least 20 runs short,” Rathore, also a former India batting coach, said.He rued left-arm-seamer Nandre Burger’s missed catch off Rinku Singh when the batter was on eight, which proved to be the decisive moment, but added that it was part of the game. “Yes, it made the difference, but these things do happen.”

Fake contracts, false revenues: Two Indian-origin executives charged in Brooklyn for AI platform scam

Two Indian-origin men have been charged over financial fraud in Brooklyn.

A company founded in 2010 and dissolved in 2025 had been defrauding investors and shareholders through false revenue figures and fake contracts. Two Indian-origin men have been charged with this elaborate financial scam surrounding iLearning, a Maryland-based technology company that marketed itself as an “out-of-the-box AI platform”. Puthugramam “Harish” Chidambaran, the founder and former Chief Executive Officer, and Sayyed Farhan Ali “Farhan” Naqvi, iLearning’s former Chief Financial Officer were arrested on April 17 and were presented in the court. The court documents said that they exploited the investor excitement over the AI boom and told their investors and lenders lies, inflated figures. The truly artificial part of their story was their customers and revenues, United States Attorney Nocella said.

Company’s growth story

Founded in 2010, iLearning claimed to earn revenue primarily by selling licenses for its platforms to customers, and the company reported rapidly growing revenues that reached $421 million in 2023. In April 2024, iLearning became a publicly traded company and obtained $40 million in loan proceeds from the New York City branch of a financial institution. The company then obtained an additional $20 million in loan proceeds from another New York City branch of a financial institution. Following its going-public transaction, iLearning’s shares began trading on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol “AILE,” and the company quickly achieved a market capitalization of approximately $1.5 billion.

Fake information, false contracts

The investors and lenders did not know that the company fabricated all its revenues. The agreements that they showed were mostly signed by family members. The court documents cited an example of the intricate fraud. At Chidambaran’s direction, an associate who previously worked as an iLearning vice president, incorporated and opened bank accounts in the names of several purported iLearning customers. The two main accused transmitted millions of dollars from iLearning to an account controlled by this individual. This individual then sent those funds to other accounts he controlled in the names of other entities, before ultimately sending the money back to iLearning. The aggregate value of these round-trip transactions exceeded $144 million. In 2024, an investment research firm caught the fraud and published a report that iLearning misrepresented its revenue, leading to a rapid stock price decline. iLearning ultimately filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the District of Delaware in December 2024, and the proceedings were later converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation in 2025, marking the collapse of the company.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has acknowledged that no formal contract was ever sent to Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani for the Pakistan Super League, but has defended its decision to impose a two-year ban, insisting that a “clear verbal agreement” had been reached — a stance that has intensified the ongoing controversy.According to a report by news agency PTI, PCB sources conceded that while no signed contract existed between Muzarabani and PSL franchise Islamabad United, the player had agreed to essential terms before pulling out and joining Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2026.

PCB defends ban despite contract admission

The PCB had earlier handed Muzarabani a two-year ban for allegedly breaching his commitment to the PSL after he opted to join KKR as a replacement signing. While admitting the absence of a formal contract, board sources maintained that the agreement was binding in principle. As per PCB sources, quoted by PTI, the offer was clear and there was unequivocal acceptance of essential terms, adding that once remuneration and structure are agreed upon — even through written correspondence — it constitutes a binding obligation. The board’s position hinges on the claim that Muzarabani disregarded this understanding in favour of a “conflicting arrangement” with the IPL, thereby breaching trust, if not a signed contract.

‘You can’t breach what you never signed’

Muzarabani’s agent, Rob Humphries, had earlier launched a strong rebuttal, calling the ban “excessive” and unjustified. Representing the pacer through World Sports Xchange, Humphries asserted that no formal contract was ever issued, making it impossible for his client to violate any agreement.“We’ve remained quiet publicly… but the situation demanded clarity,” Humphries said, revealing that discussions with Islamabad United were conditional upon securing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Zimbabwe Cricket.“An NOC cannot be obtained without a contract from the PSL. Despite a public announcement, no contract was ever provided,” he added, urging the PCB to “gracefully withdraw the ban” and acknowledge what he described as an administrative error. The dispute stems from Muzarabani’s decision to opt out of a PSL stint — reportedly worth around USD 40,000 — to join KKR in IPL 2026 as a replacement for Mustafizur Rahman. The PCB’s admission has added a new dimension to the controversy, raising questions about contractual processes and player obligations in franchise leagues. While the board continues to defend its disciplinary action on the basis of a verbal agreement, Muzarabani’s camp remains firm that without a signed contract, no breach occurred.

David Miller openly trolls Kuldeep Yadav after win vs RCB, recalls GT heartbreak

David Miller completed the unfinished business for the Delhi Capitals (DC) in style last night against the defending champion Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). DC needed 15 runs to win the match in the penultimate over, and Miller hit the winning runs on the fifth ball. Delhi got a thrilling win over the in-form Royal Challengers Bengaluru, thanks to David Miller’s 10-ball cameo.

After the match, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kuldeep Yadav and Miller were engaged in a joyful chatter. The main motive of the video was to highlight the moments of Miller’s masterclass against the RCB bowlers. During the conversation, the Protea batter suddenly took a banter at the spinner.

DC suffered early blows in their innings

Last night, RCB registered a competitive total of 176 runs on their home ground against the Delhi Capitals. The target was not too massive, but the match turned more interesting as soon as the middle-order of Delhi was hit by multiple blows during the crucial junctures of the match.

KL Rahul provided DC a solid start, but the departures of Pathum Nissanka, Karun Nair, and Sameer Rizvi made the run chase quite difficult for them. Inside the power play, the Capitals were down by 3 wickets. They lost the three batters in 2.5 overs for only 18 runs on the board.

David Miller was on strike in the penultimate over

At that point in the match, RCB was in the lead to claim the match. In the last over of the game, when Tristan Stubbs, a well-set Tristan Stubbs, and David Miller were on the crease.

Ahead of the 20th over of the second innings, Stubbs was 59* (46), and Miller was 6* (6). For the final over, RCB captain Rajat Patidar handed the ball to Romario Shephard, who had not bowled before that over in the night. Miller, who faced only 6 balls ahead of the final over of the match, smashed the pacer for two back-to-back sixes and one four on the third, fourth, and fifth deliveries, respectively, to win the match.

A funny moment between Kuldeep Yadav and Miller

“Unbelievable game in the last over, finished the game for us. Happy?” Kuldeep Yadav asked David Miller. In response, Miller said, “I’m very happy. You know, we lost the previous game against the Gujarat Titans (GT), which, you know, did not end up too well.”

Against GT, Delhi lost the match by only 1 run. In that match too, David Miller went out of his skin to confirm a thrilling victory for the team. Kuldeep Yadav was at the non-striker’s end in that game. In the last ball, they ran to steal a run to level the score, but Kuldeep Yadav ran out, and DC lost the match by only 1 run.

“Obviously, you have a better non-striker in. This time, Stubbs was there. He was playing really well,” Yadav said in the video. Miller candidly replied, “He’s quicker than you”, followed by Yadav’s “Yeah, obviously”.
