Praful Hinge Creates History on IPL Debut

Praful Hinge’s inaugural performance in the IPL, representing Sunrisers Hyderabad against Rajasthan Royals on Monday, merits significant attention. The bowler from Vidarbha recorded figures of four wickets for 34 runs. In the opening over, Hinge dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi for a golden duck on the second delivery, subsequently removing Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius for naught within the same over, thereby reducing Rajasthan Royals to 1/3. This performance constitutes the most economical four-wicket haul in the initial over of an IPL match.

Regarding the encounter between SRH and RR, Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a 57-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad on Monday. This outcome was driven by Captain Ishan Kishan’s 91 runs and the four-wicket contributions from debutants Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved a total of 216/6. Ishan Kishan’s 91 runs from 44 balls, featuring eight fours and six sixes, were complemented by Heinrich Klaasen’s 40 runs from 26 balls, including one four and three sixes, and Nitish Kumar Reddy’s 28 runs from 13 balls, which included four boundaries.

In their response, Rajasthan Royals, despite a century partnership between Donovan Ferreira, who scored 69 runs from 44 balls with seven fours and three sixes, and Ravindra Jadeja, who contributed 45 runs from 32 balls with five fours, primarily for net run-rate considerations, were ultimately dismissed for 159 runs.
