Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Shreyas Iyer has been handed an INR 12 lakh fine for the team’s slow over-rate in Match 4 of IPL 2026 against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Mullanpur Stadium on Tuesday, March 31. It is only Iyer’s first over-rate offence of the ongoing Indian Premier League season.
PBKS had to keep an extra fielder inside the circle for the final over of their innings due to the slow over-rate. Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh conceded 12 runs, including four wides, in the final over. The Shubman Gill-led side posted 162/6 in 20 overs. PBKS chased down the target with five balls to spare.
Shreyas Iyer faced a financial penalty after the Punjab Kings were found guilty of a slow over-rate during their IPL 2026 clash against the Gujarat Titans.
