Continuing his tirade against the BJP MPs from the State, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy in particular, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has questioned why the BJP MPs are not prevailing upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve the projects submitted by the State government and extend assistance to them.

Mr. Kishan Reddy, representing Secunderabad, and the other BJP MPs are representing Chevella, Malkajgiri and Medak Lok Sabha seats are not proactively taking up the projects with the Centre. “Is Mr. Kishan Reddy not obstructing the projects?” he asked.

Mr. Kishan Reddy in particular was calling on the Prime Minister and Union ministers with whom he (Mr. Revanth Reddy) held meetings and submitted representations within days and was influencing them against granting approvals.

While the BJP MPs were active in showcasing Sabarmati, Yamuna and other riverfront projects, they were talking against the Musi rejuvenation project. “Don’t they have the responsibility of securing required funds for the State?” Mr. Revanth Reddy wondered.

Reiterating his charge of understanding between the BJP and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), he said he was prepared for a debate in the Assembly on the development works taken up in 12-year rule of Mr. Narendra Modi, 10-year BRS rule and the two-and-a-half year Congress rule. “We shall discuss about the projects executed and the funds secured from the Centre,” he said.

Elaborating on the welfare schemes being implemented by the Congress government since it took over the reins, he advised Mr. Kishan Reddy and BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao to give constructive suggestions for making them further effective. “Don’t obstruct the projects with your arrogance,” he said.

The Chief Minister warned that people were observing the secret ties between the two parties. “The BJP MPs will not return to Delhi (as MPs) if they continue their moves against the interests of the State,” he said.
