Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Shivam Mavi has been ruled out of IPL 2026 with a groin injury, the franchise reported on Friday.
Mavi, a right-arm medium pacer, was yet to play any matches for the franchise in IPL 2026. In fact, he has not played any IPL matches since 2022. Mavi has had a history of struggling with injuries, which have hampered his career.
After going unsold in IPL 2025, Mavi was picked by SRH for his base price of INR 75 lakh in 2026.
Shivam Mavi replaced by RS Ambrish
Ambrish is a bowling all-rounder from Tamil Nadu who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. Ambrish was also a part of the Indian team that had won the Under-19 World Cup earlier this year.
In that tournament, he took 11 wickets from 7 matches and was India’s joint-highest wicket-taker. He will join SRH at his base price of INR 30 lakh.
