Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief K. Pawan Kalyan, speaking at the inauguration of the Bhogapuram airport on Saturday (August 1, 2026), said he was deeply saddened to hear that some in the younger generation were hurling abuse at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was working relentlessly for the development of the nation. “Tears rolled down my eyes when I heard the abuses against Narendra Modi,” he said.

Referring to the recent protests at Jantar Mantar, though without naming any party, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said Mr. Modi had not taken leave for a single day in his three terms as Prime Minister. “Modi is leading the fight against external forces and those nations which are against the rise of the nation. He is also fighting the forces within the country. The only support we can give him is to stand by his side,” he said.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan said parents of children below 25 should teach them culture and respect for elders. “I saw Narendra Modi’s video message to the youth this morning, forgiving the youngsters who abused him,” he said.
