YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has called on all affiliated wings of the party to mobilise their organisational strength at the grassroots level and play a key role in the upcoming local body elections, with a focus on legal preparedness, digital outreach and systematic election monitoring.
Addressing YRSCP State presidents, working presidents and zonal working presidents of affiliated wings at the the party’s Central Office, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy asked each wing to identify issues affecting its respective section and take them directly to the people.
Women, youth, students, farmers, BCs, SCs, minorities, employees, pensioners and professionals should highlight issues such as fee reimbursement, employment, crop insurance, input subsidies, availability of fertilisers and seeds, rising prices, employee concerns and civic amenities, while comparing the situation with the previous Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
He directed party units to identify multiple alternative candidates for every seat and remain vigilant throughout the election process. Caste certificates and other nomination-related documents should be obtained in advance to avoid last-minute difficulties.
Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy stressed that any obstruction to nominations, alleged police interference or misuse of official machinery should be documented through video recordings and other evidence for legal action and submission to the State Election Commission and the media.
He called for extensive social media campaigns using short videos, local visual content and trained grassroots communicators across WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and other platforms. Experienced party workers should be identified and deployed as booth agents during polling and counting.
YSRCP general secretary Aluru Sambasiva Reddy said nearly 14 lakh people were connected to the party’s organisational structure and urged leaders to make effective use of the affiliated wings. MLC Lella Appireddy emphasised coordinated responsibilities from campaigning through counting.
Women’s Wing president Varudu Kalyani called for intensified digital outreach highlighting women’s issues, unfulfilled promises and welfare initiatives implemented during the Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
