Kannur Mayor P. Indira has lodged a complaint with Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and the Transport Minister, alleging that she was not invited to the inauguration of the KSRTC’s Priyadarshini free travel scheme for women.
In her complaint, the Mayor said it was disappointing that she was not accorded due consideration despite being a woman Mayor at the launch of a flagship government scheme for women. She said she was informed about the programme only on Sunday night (June 14).
Ms. Indira also sought an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the omission and requested appropriate action.
