An anganwadi worker engaged in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls collapsed and died while enumerating voters at Kodi Hosur village in Bhadravathi taluk on Monday.
Manjula, 52, was working as an anganwadi worker at Kallapura. She is survived by her husband and a son.
Deputy Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti visited Manjula’s residence on Tuesday, paid his last respects and conveyed his condolences to the family. He told the family members that the district administration would take the necessary measures to grant the compensation to which the family was entitled.
Superintendent of Police B. Nikhil, Additional Deputy Commissioner V. Abhishek and Bhadravathi Tahsildar Pradeep D. were present.
