To commemorate the 80th Independence Day, the No. 1 Air Force Band (also known as the Indian Air Force Band) will perform at Vidhana Soudha, on August 9.
“Renowned for its powerful symphonies and ceremonial excellence, the band brings together precision, passion and patriotism through music. With every note, they narrate the story of India’s valorous past, dynamic present and aspirational future,” the Ministry of Defence said.
It added that commencing at 6 p.m., the performance will be a tribute to the spirit of freedom and a celebration of the enduring legacy of India’s Defence Forces.
“Through martial music, patriotic classics and iconic national tunes, the band promises to stir the hearts of every citizen present, reminding us all of what it means to be a patriotic Indian,” it added.
The event, open to the public, will be attended by senior Indian Air Force officials and civil dignitaries.
