He will be partnered at the top of the order by Ibrahim Zadran, for whom this will be the first series as captain of the side.
Left-handed batter Sediqullah Atal was once regarded as one of the country’s most talented batting prospects, and has slowly established himself as a key feature across the formats for Afghanistan.
