The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a march in Delhi on September 5, over the Centre’s alleged failure to honour the promises made during the July agitation.
In a statement posted on X, the CJP condemned the Union Government’s failure to honour the commitments made to India’s youth on July 25, particularly those concerning the withdrawal of FIRs against students and protesters.
“With the Government continuing to delay and avoid fulfilling its assurances, the CJP National Working Committee has decided to resume peaceful mobilisation,” it said in the statement.
Scheduled to take place on Teachers’ Day, the march will start at India Gate and head toward the Delhi Police Headquarters, according to a statement from the CJP.
“We have not received any request letter so far. If we receive any request, we will review it accordingly,” a police source said.
Along with the families of deceased NEET victims and victims of police brutality, the CJP will hold a peaceful youth march from India Gate to Delhi Police headquarters.
“The Government must honour its word. Our patience must not be mistaken for weakness,” it added.
It said the march would be led by families of students who died by suicide following the cancellation of the NEET exam and the subsequent re-test, and those who were allegedly subjected to police excesses during the July agitation.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the CJP National Working Committee on Monday (August 24, 2026), a month after the outfit called off its agitation following negotiations with the Centre.
