Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay shares a heartfelt note from his official Instagram account to mark the special day. He thanked the former cricketer for his contributions to promoting sports in Tamil Nadu.

Dhoni is from Jharkhand, but he has an immense fan base in the southern state of the country due to the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK). During the previous season, when MS Dhoni was 44, fans in Chennai were crazy to see a glimpse of their ‘Thala’ in action, donning the yellow jersey.

Wishing you good health, happiness, and many more years of success. May the whistles for you only grow louder!” the Instagram post continues.
Alongside the note, there is a photo of Vijay and Dhoni, in a gesture of greeting.
