The Shivajinagar police have cracked a theft at Housing and Minority Welfare Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan’s mother’s residence, and have arrested two persons, including a relative. The police have recovered 759 grams of gold jewellery worth ₹1.13 crore.

The case was registered on April 15, following a complaint by the Minister’s mother, a resident of Station Road. She reported that gold jewellery weighing about 1.3 kg, kept in a cupboard in her house, had gone missing. She also stated that relatives frequently visited her home to assist her and suspected the involvement of someone known.
