District Collector G. Rajakumari speaking at the seventh Collectors’ Conference held in Amaravati on Friday.

District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya on Friday informed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that Nandyal district is focusing on strengthening last-mile public service delivery through digital governance initiatives.

Making a presentation on the second day of the 7th District Collectors’ Conference held in Amaravati, the Collector said awareness programmes under the ‘Manamitra’ service platform and the Swarna Gramam–Swarna Ward initiative were being actively expanded in rural areas. She said the initiatives had improved public participation, with more people now accessing government services at the village level instead of visiting government offices.

The Collector also highlighted the need to fill key vacant posts, including NEDCAP Project Director and District Tourism Officer, stating that the vacancies were affecting land allotment processes and overall administrative coordination in the newly formed district.

Ms. Rajakumari further raised concerns related to housing schemes, including delays in layout registration in Banaganapalle, pending court cases involving assigned house sites, and arrears under the NTR Housing programme pertaining to the 2014-2019 period.

Responding to the issues, the Chief Minister directed officials to examine the matters and issue necessary instructions to the CCLA without delay.
