A single ‘like’ of Virat Kohli has changed the life of the German influencer Lizlaz. A few days ago, social media platforms were in a storm as the netizens found a ‘like’ from Virat’s official Instagram account on the influencer’s photo.
That one instance has changed the life of Lizlaz. During a recent interview, she opened up about her career path after that moment. She received some exciting offers that have been shaping her career more profoundly. However, not all of the offers she received were very positive.
Insane offers to defame Virat Kohli
In the interview, Lizlaz revealed that there were some offers where she was asked to defame Virat Kohli in exchange for a good chunk of money. But Lizlaz threw away such vile offers. The German social media influencer describes Virat Kohli as her favorite cricketer.
“Some people wanted me to throw shade at him and say things he never did. But why would I do that? He’s my favourite cricketer. Why would I throw shade at him for money?” Lizlaz told Filmymantra.

Lizlaz was in awe when she found out that overnight, she had become famous across the globe. People were sending messages, trying to get connected with her; notifications were flooding all day long.
‘I found out because people started calling me. I didn’t even see it in my notifications. I opened Google, and there were pages and pages about me. It felt very unreal,” she said.
People in India had barely any idea about who Lizlaz is, while people in Germany knew very little about Virat Kohli. She points out the contrast in both nations in the interview as well.
“In India, people were asking, ‘Who is Lizlaz?’ But in Germany, the headlines were asking, ‘Who is Virat Kohli?’ because cricket is not very popular there,” Lizlaz mentioned.
She has done multiple high-profile events as well after the ‘like’ of Virat
Because of the popularity, Lizlaz received offers for brand promotions, and she did some sports related actives as well, like taking several interviews and trophy ceremony.
“I absolutely loved it. I did the post-match moderation, player interviews, and trophy ceremony. Being part of the game felt amazing. I got offered insane amounts of money, but I don’t want to promote something against my values,’ she informed.
Virat is currently busy in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They are the defending champions this season, so they are performing with extra added pressure this season.
Because of back-to-back wins in the group stage, the team is on the verge of qualifying for the play-offs. However, Virat’s inaugural form is not up to the mark so far, as he had to endure two ducks in two consecutive matches. For their next IPL 2026 fixture, they are scheduled to face the Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.
