The India National Cricket Team pacer Arshdeep Singh has finally broken the silence on the social media controversy during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The Team India pacer had to delete some of his reels and posts from his official Instagram account due to personal reasons; there were no serious concerns.
Arshdeep Singh has been known for his funny reels and posts, which take a dig at the other teams and players as well. He also does so with his teammates while playing for the Men in Blue side or during domestic leagues and IPL. He displays his cheerful, humble personality and all the bonding with his teammates.
“I felt like cleaning things up”- Arshdeep Singh on deleting posts
While speaking on Krishank Atrey’s YouTube channel, he was asked about why he deleted the pictures and reels that he posted during the IPL. Arshdeep stated that there were no particular reasons to delete the posts and the reels of the IPL, as he wanted to delete everything, so he did it. The pacer believes that fans and people make issues out of it.
“IPL had ended and I felt like cleaning things up, so I was properly clearing everything out. I mean, people make an issue out of it, asking why I removed the videos and what happened to Arshdeep’s Instagram account, why he changed it overnight.”
Arshdeep Singh wanted to delete; he deleted, and he said that if he wants to put them back, he will do it, as there is no problem with that. The 27-year-old pacer opened up about the matter after the 2-1 ODI series loss to England.
“But it’s nothing like that, bro. I just felt like removing them, so I did. If I feel like it, I’ll put them back. It’s just about my mood. Whenever I feel like it, I post something.”
Arshdeep Singh did not have the best of IPL seasons. He picked 14 wickets, but his economy was over 10, and his average was 38.64, which showcased the larger picture of his IPL 2026 form. Punjab Kings (PBKS) also failed to qualify for the playoffs despite staying at the top for half of the league.
Arshdeep Singh names his best friends in the Indian side
In the same video, the PBKS pacer was asked about which teammates he makes reels and memes with. He stated that Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Avesh Khan and he himself have the best time together as they are the closest ones.
“There’s a group consisting of Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Avesh Khan and me. The four of us have been close since we were newly selected for the Indian team. So whenever something funny happens, like someone says something in an interview that later backfires and memes are made about it, we keep sending those memes to each other.”
Arshdeep is currently enjoying his vacation and will be back in action in September when India will take on the West Indies.
