BJP names 5 candidates for Legislative Council polls

The BJP on Sunday announced five candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections slated later this year. The names approved by the Central Election Committee, include two for the graduates’ constituency and three for the teachers’ constituency.

For the Lucknow graduates’ seat, the party named Awanish Kumar Singh as the candidate. Manvendra Pratap Singh will contest from Agra graduates’ seat.

Hari Singh Dhillon will contest from Bareilly-Muradabad teachers’ seat, Umesh Dwivedi and Shrichand Sharma from Lucknow and Meerut teachers’ seats respectively.
