Comedy play ‘Parameshi Prema Prasanga’ to be staged in Mysuru on August 30

Rangavalli Mysuru, in collaboration with the Directorate of Kannada and Culture, will present the comedy play ‘Parameshi Prema Prasanga’ at Kirurangamandira in Kalamandira premises in Mysuru on Sunday.

The play written by theatre director Srinivas Prabhu and directed by Raviprasad will be staged at 6.30 p.m.

“Parameshi Prema Prasanga is a hilarious flow of comedy featuring a medley of characters: Parameshi, who struggles to win over Rashmi; Krishnoji, a staunch bachelor captivated by Shantaladevi’s eyes; Vyakularaya, who is determined to become a poet; Ambabai, who keeps her husband under her thumb; the forgetful Bhutanatha; the gluttonous Desai; a ‘gentleman’ ex-robber; and Chenni, who can snatch a necklace in the blink of an eye”, said a statement by the organisers.

Inspired by the works of English author P.G. Wodehouse and written by Srinivas Prabhu, the play’s stage has been designed by designer H.K. Dwarakanath, while the lighting has been provided by Madhu Neenasam. Music management is by Manju Mangala, make-up by Saritha C.V. and costumes by Hariprasad.
